Racing Tipsters - Honest or Scam?

Racing Tipsters come in many shapes and forms. Some good, some bad.

While some people believe all horseracing tipsters are crooks who prey on the gullible. 

However, there are some who are actually very good at analysing racing and finding good bets and they then sell those tips because they can make a good, steady income as tipsters.

In the UK, racing tipsters tend to fall into 2 separate camps: 

Type #1: the "inside information tipster"

This tipster is someone with connections in racing. Typically, he'll know people who work in a few racing yards and they'll let him know when they've got a really fancied horse. He'll reward his connection for this information and then sells this information via his tipping service.

Type #2: the "horse racing analyst"

This tipster works in a completely different way. He analyses the race cards for the following day and identifies horses that he believes offer good value. He then puts the best of these horses up on his tipping service.

Both types of tipster can be honest and profitable, and both can be rogues who are out to pick up a quick buck.
